The Beginning of the End is a reboot of the series, retelling the events of the cursed Saeki family that centers on a house inNerima, Japan.
In this seventh installment of the Ju-on franchise, a school teacher visits the home of a boy who's been absent from school for a long period of time, unaware of the horrific tragedy which occurred in the boy's household many years ago.

The story of the film begins after the events of the second season, at the graduation ceremony of the third-year students. Knowing that the graduation of the third-year members means the end of μ's, the nine girls take a walk around the school filled with memories. In a futuristic yet feudal Japan, it is said that the one who wields the Number 1 headband is the fiercest fighter in the world and shall possessgod-like powers. However, only the Number 2 can challenge the Number 1 while anyone can challenge the Number 2 which causes a constant struggle for the Number 2 headband.
Justice, the owner of the No. 2 headband, goes to fight the owner of the No. 1 headband Rokutaro (Afro's father). The two battle, ending with Justice beheading Afro's father and claiming his headband. His head rolls in front of his son Afro as he sobs and vows revenge where Justice tells Afro to seek him out when he's "ready to face a god."
